Can also add walnuts, or try ginger or cardamom flavours.
Ingredients
Buns
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 2 tbsp caster sugar
- 50g cold butter, chopped
- 50g melted butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Icing
- 1 tbsp instant coffee, dissolved in 2 tbsp warm water
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- 2 cups sifted icing sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 180C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Sift flour and a pinch of salt into mixing bowl. Stir through sugar.
Rub through cold butter. Pour in milk. Combine.
- Roll mixture out into a rectangle.
- Combine extra butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Roll up, swiss roll
style. Cut into pieces. Place scrolls on tray, closely packed. Bake for
15-20 min.
- Combine icing ingredients. Drizzle over scrolls.
